If your canine isn't keen on getting his nails clipped at home or at the groomer, you'll definitely want to steal this pup parent's brilliant DIY solution.

Minnesota resident Patrick Peifer recently crafted the perfect grooming getup for his family's rescue dog, Oliver, wand his trick is now going viral thanks to his daughter who shared the image on Twitter. Patrick cut holes in the bottom of an inexpensive purse he bought at Goodwill and voilà—his dog now has a cozy, hanging harness.

Patrick was inspired to create the bag harness after seeing a similar gizmo designed to help anxious pooches. "It's very difficult to keep him still while clipping nails," his daughter Kendal told Buzzfeed. "He saw the idea to hang a dog from a doorway to clip nails, so he bought the purse to be cheaper. It was his DIY project for the night."

Soon after testing it out, Kendal shared the image of Oliver, her dad, and the purse on Twitter, which quickly racked up more than 333,000 likes including several comments from people wanting to know more about the inventor. "This is cute and is so your dad," one commenter wrote.

While it's not clear whether it was the dog hack or the dog dad that made this photo go viral, we know there's a lot to appreciate in Kendal's post.
