If there's one rule we live by here at CountryLiving.com, it's that pie is always a good idea. Whether it's a sweet old-fashioned pecan pie or a tart grape slab pie, as long as it tastes delicious, it's going to put a big ol' smile on our faces. Perhaps the only thing that impresses us more than a delicious homemade pie is one that's impressively beautiful, too.

Case in point: These pies from artist and baker Karin Pfeiff Boschek of Our Delicious Food are basically works of art. Over on her Instagram account, she shares her latest masterpieces, many of which, are inspired by the season.

Karin bakes each pie from scratch and hand cuts most of the designs. Sometimes her latticework is abstract—paisley prints or geometric shapes—and other times it's inspired by what's in her garden. (Think oak leaves, foliage, and roses.) Amateur bakers can achieve a similar look with mini cookie cutters in autumn-inspired shapes like leaves, acorns, and pumpkins.
