Five hours later, Luke shared another update, this time for fans in Boise, Idaho. Luke wrote, "This is so hard for me to do, but I am going to have to cancel my show on August 5th at Ford Center. Under the advisement of doctors I need another day to rest my voice and get better. There is nothing that I love more than to play live shows and I am so disappointed to not be able to do this for you."

Earlier on August 4, Luke posted a video in commemoration of International Beer Day. Fans took the opportunity to comment on his health news on that post. Some fans criticized the timing of his cancellation, while others jumped to his defense.

One commenter wrote, "do you people not realize how a head cold can go? he’s been 'putting a show for weeks being sick, and y’all are just screaming at him as if he can control it. give the guy a break." Another fan explained, "Bummer! He was getting “sick” a couple weeks ago at the concert we were at, he thought it was allergies. He made it through, but it was a struggle, his voice cracked a few times, but it was still an amazing show. Hope you rest and feel better soon♥️"

Luke is scheduled continue his "Country On" tour on August 10 in Arkansas. We're sending our best wishes for a speedy recovery!
