Whether you're serving up a ham for Christmas, making an Easter ham, or you've got another reason to feast, it's going to look lonely sitting there all by itself unless you fill out that table or side board with some side dishes. And depending on how many people you're planning to feed, that could mean one or two—or more than a few. (Here's an easy way to figure out how much ham to serve per person, by the way.)

Potatoes are a classic side dish, of course, but it never hurts to have something crunchy and colorful on the table as well, such as a salad, biscuits, beans, roast carrots, and sweet potatoes all make classic sides as well. Following, find a long list of our favorite side dishes to serve with ham, from must-make Cream Cheese Herb Biscuits to make-ahead sides like Stewed Okra and Tomatoes (which can be easily warmed back up) or an Easy Root Vegetable Gratin. Whatever you make, if it's on this list, you know it'll taste great! (And be sure to bookmark our best leftover ham recipes for after the feast!)
