37 Best Tomato Recipes for America's Most Popular Produce
You can call it a fruit or a vegetable. We're calling it delicious.
When fresh tomato season shows up, either in our garden or at the farmers' market, we are absolutely here for it. (Even our dogs love tomatoes.)
More than possibly anything else in the produce section, a perfectly ripe local tomato tastes much better than the rock hard, shipped-in-from-elsewhere kind that you find on shelves the rest of the year.
So, we end up with heaps and heaps. And we immediately have to figure out what to do with them all. One of our favorite things is to turn a bunch into a sweet and spicy tomato jam, which we use for everything from topping biscuits to stirring into soups.
We'll also make plenty of roasted tomato sauce for pizzas and pasta. But that's just the beginning! Here are dozens more recipes for both fresh and canned tomatoes to entice your tastebuds all summer—and beyond!
