This holiday season, take a little note from Santa himself. Check those holiday lists twice! Between planning the perfect Christmas Day brunch, pouring yourself a festive cocktail (or two) and mentally preparing to host the entire family, it's easy to forget the most simple of things. And when the moment you realize you forgot an essential ingredient for your perfected pumpkin pie recipe comes, there's a good chance you're going to want to run to your local Dollar General. The convenience store is often a one-stop-shop for all your household essentials, but before you bundle up for a quick pit stop, you may be wondering if the store is open on Christmas Day.

Is Dollar General Open on Christmas Day 2022?

Well, Dollar General is pretty much open all days of the year except for one...and that one day happens to be Christmas Day. So, make sure you have a backup plan just in case you get in last-minute shopper mode.

The convenience store typically remains open throughout the year on major holidays, including extended hours the weekend before Christmas to allow more time for shoppers to check everything off their lists. However, when it comes to December 25, the company has joined other big names like Costco, Target, Kroger and more that close their doors on Christmas Day.

We don't want to end this by putting a damper on your last minute shopping needs so keep in mind that Dollar General will be open on Christmas Eve and if you're really in a pickle Christmas Day, we've got you covered with all the grocery stores open December 25.
