Each July, friends and families across the country come together to celebrate American independence. We make 4th of July crafts with the kids, put up 4th of July party decorations, and select our favorite patriotic songs for the grand finale—fireworks.
Then there’s the most important—and tastiest—part of the celebration: the menu. A solid Independence Day cookout should be filled with tasty and festive 4th of July recipes, 4th of July appetizers, 4th of July desserts, and boozy 4th of July drinks.
While we’re all about a 4th of July cookout, sometimes it isn’t in the cards. Maybe wet weather is in the forecast or you don’t have access to a grill. Sometimes it’s easier to head to your favorite restaurant to grab a bite than cook a big meal, especially for a party of two or three.
Fortunately, there are plenty of restaurants open on July 4th.

Whatever the case may be, you’ve still got plenty of options. Many restaurants have opened their dining rooms this year, but we still suggest giving the restaurant a call beforehand to double check their hours. When it comes to your holiday plans, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
Here are all the restaurants ready to serve you on the 4th of July.
Bahama Breeze
Bahama Breeze locations will be open during regular hours on the 4th. The chain will be serving plenty of their signature cocktails during the holiday, including margaritas, mojitos, and pineapple daiquiris.
Bob Evans
All Bob Evans locations will be open for both dine-in and order-out on the 4th of July. The chain is currently promoting its family-sized meals that feed up to 6 people starting at $5.49 per person.
Bonefish Grill
The restaurant also offers family bundles for carryout that serve up to five. You can also make reservations on their site, local regulations permitting.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Enjoy a variety of appetizers and a beer (or two!) at Buffalo Wild Wings. All locations will stay open on the 4th.
The Cheesecake Factory
Indulge in all the cheesecake your heart desires. All restaurants will be be operating under normal hours.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Celebrate Fourth of July with scratch-made dishes under $20 from Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Through July 11th, their newest Pasta and a Pour features the restaurants signature Linguine Positano paired with a glass of imported Italian wine, along with a soup or side salad and house baked bread, oil and herbs.
Chili's
If you're craving ribs on July 4th, don't worry! Chili's is open and offering several variations of their baby back ribs.
Cracker Barrel
If you're craving some comfort food, Cracker Barrel has you covered. All 660 locations will be open during regular business hours.
Denny's
No matter what time your Denny's cravings hit, the restaurant has you covered. Most locations will be open during normal hours.
Firehouse Subs
The sandwich chain, which gives a portion of its proceeds every year to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders, will be open for business and selling plenty of their sandwiches and salads on July 4.
IHOP
If a stack of fluffy pancakes is calling your name on July 4th, you know where to go! All IHOP restaurants will be open during its normal hours.
Olive Garden
Pass the breadsticks, please! All Olive Garden locations will have normal operating hours on the 4th of July.
Red Lobster
In the mood for some seafood? Head over to your local Red Lobster. All restaurants will be open during normal hours on the 4th.
Ruth's Chris
All Ruth's Chris's locations will be operating under usual hours.
Starbucks
Select Starbucks locations will stay open for the 4th, so contact your local store ahead of time to double check.
Texas Roadhouse
Although Texas Roadhouse restaurants will be open, hours vary by location, so check your local spot before you head out.
Yard House
All Yard House locations nationwide will be open during regular hours on the 4th of July. Stop in during happy hour to enjoy a variety of specials.
