- Mindy Kaling just dropped some epic bikini pics on Instagram celebrating her collaboration with Andie Swim, and she got busy showing off her strong abs.
- The actress has been candid about not being comfortable in swimsuits, but she's embracing the swimsuit line and encouraging others to do the same.
- She loves walking, yoga, and strength training, and doesn't follow any dietary restrictions.
In case you didn't know, Mindy Kaling has been working with Andie Swim on a campaign that is *kind of* everything. While the Never Have I Ever creator has been open in the past about not exactly loving wearing swimsuits, there's no doubt that Mindy is so strong and toned in some new photos she shared.
Mindy posted some Instagram photos honoring the collab, which show the actress and producer lounging in a green bikini and cover-up, flaunting her epic legs and sculpted abs. âI love bikinis on other people but Iâm sometimes nervous about wearing them myself,â she wrote. âThatâs why I loved this Amor Top and Bottoms from my collection with @andieswim. Thereâs enough coverage without seeming overly modest.â
She also encouraged other women to give it a go. âIf youâve been wanting to try a bikini but are hesitant, maybe give these a try,â she said. âThe material is so comfortable, and I love a âdarkerâ non-black color for bikinis.â (If you like the suit, act fastâa bunch of sizes are already sold out at Andie Swim.)
People flooded her comments in support, obvs. "Glowing in and out!!âşď¸âď¸," Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, star of Never Have I Ever, wrote. "You look amazing!!!," another user commented.
On her Instagram story, she dropped another cheeky photo on the lounger from the shoot, showing off her toned abs in the suit. Pop off, Mindy!
It must be the Summer of the Bikini for Mindy, because in June, she shared a pic of herself in another Andie Swim two-piece (and totally channeled Elle Woods). Her abs, arms, and legs are totally epic.
Mindy recently opened up to SELF about changing the way she approaches fitnessâand how she views working out. She shared that she previously used to wake up âbefore dawn, before I had to get to set at The Office, going to my gym, sitting on a treadmill for 45 minutes, trying to run as fast as I could, hating it.â
But now Mindy just focuses on movement and likes to take long walks or hikes with friends. The 44-year-old actress also walks when she can, which can add up to four miles or so a day. She also told SELF that she also does yoga. âIâm the healthiest Iâve ever been,â she added.
"I'm feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I've been able to say for my whole life, unfortunately," she told People in May. Mindy also shared that she has a goal of logging 20 miles a week, whether from running or hiking. âThat's been incredibly helpful to me,â she said. She also said she does strength training with a personal trainer.
"It's really a big commitment," she said. "It's hard with two kids that I wake up really early and I fit it inâand I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in, get an extra mile in."
Mindy told People that sheâs started eating in moderation, although she joked to Womenâs Health that she's âthe only person in L.A. without dietary restrictions.â The Mindy Project star also told WH that she kicks off her day with a lot of water (her goal is to have 50 ounces before 7 a.m.). Mindy follows that with a âliquid saladâ smoothie of spinach, banana, kale, lemon, pear, apple, cucumber, celery, and coconut water or tap water.
Lunch might be a turkey sandwich or sushi, and dinner is usually fish with veggies and some kind of grain. âI canât eat salmon more than twice a week, so I try to mix it up with a different fish,â she said. Oh! And dessert is a ânon-negotiable.â
Love the new suit, Mindy!
