If there's nothing you love more than going pumpkin picking each fall, may we suggest planning an impromptu trip to the Dallas Arboretum this year? In the vein of "everything's bigger in Texas," the gardeners recently unveiled their outrageous Autumn in the Arboretum display, a Cinderella-themed village made out of 50,000 gourds and 150,000 (!) blooming fall flowers. In other words, their fall curb appeal definitely gives yours a run for your money.

Luckily, locals have through November 26, 2014 to spend some time in the pumpkin patch and soak up that awesome autumn feeling only the bright colors of the season can provide. If you can't make it to Dallas this year, try recreating the look on your front porch by displaying a group of pumpkins instead of just one. If this arboretum proves anything, it's that you shouldn't shy away from a little over-the-top style in fall.
