3. Double-basin sink: Dave skipped a dishwasher and opted for this 1953 farm-house sink (that can handle a lot of dirty dishes) and more under-counter space. An old soda crate corrals cleaning supplies under the sink.
4. Reclaimed drawers: Made out of antique leaded glass cabinet doors, they put their contents on display, cutting down on time spent digging through them."The fact that we renovated the whole space using salvaged stuff makes this kitchen country," says Dave. "Finding new uses for old things is about as country as it gets."
5. Vintage wire baskets: Set atop a custom-built wooden shelf and iron frame structure, they store linens and pantry items in an organized, at-a-glance fashion.
6. Planked ceiling: Bleacher boards salvaged from a nearby college stadium add farmhouse character and draw the eye up, making the room seem larger.
7. Large-scale pendants: At 14 inches in diameter, these wire net-covered, globe-shaped fixtures anchor the space with a hefty focal point.
