One thing you might not know about Walmart: it has tons of celeb-backed home lines that range from Drew Barrymore's whimsical Beautiful line to The Pioneer Woman's rustic eponymous brand. But one of our favorite Walmart collabs comes from country singer Miranda Lambert. Her line, called Wanda June Home, is full of fun of home finds including throw pillows and area rugs as well as dishware and serving pieces.
The collection was inspired by vintage country aesthetic: think the brightly-colored Fiestaware you grew up with and Southern sayings embroidered on throw pillows and serving pieces, each one with a contemporary and chic twist.
Lambert named her collection Wanda June after her mother and grandmother, Beverly June Lambert and Wanda Louise Cooker, who both influenced the line. "It's sort of just a physical representation of all the memories I have with my mom and my aunts and my girlfriends and her girlfriends and my grandmother and her friends," the singer said. "To me, Wanda June just represents a long line of amazing memories with amazing women."
The country singer placed an importance on easy to care for and use pieces included in the collection, saying her mother and grandmother are, "both women who can throw a party together in no time and really make something special with little supplies and little time and I learned so much from watching that." Most of the dinnerware is dishwasher-safe porcelain or acrylic and stacks easily in cabinets. Personally, we love the sturdy acrylic cups and camping mugs for outdoor entertaining.
