Home Town stars and hosts Erin and Ben Napier are bringing their design expertise and creativity to a whole new platform— or surface, we should say. The couple has partnered with York Wallcoverings to release a one-of-a-kind line of peel-and-stick wallpaper line that Erin designed herself. And, let us just say, it is 100% to die for.
The collection includes nine different prints that range in styles from floral to mural to textured and everything in between. Though the designs are varied, the purpose behind them remains the same: to bring time-honored patterns and prints back to life. "Every design is an homage to heirloom wallpaper patterns of the early 20th century in multiple modern colorways for each that I think you’re going to love," Erin said in an Instagram post announcing the new line. The image features the designer and one of her wallpapers in the couple's newly renovated home in Laurel, Mississippi.
Fans might even recognize the pictured pattern from somewhere else: it's the pattern that will be on the cover of her upcoming book, set to release in October. "Heirloom Floral is a very special pattern in my baby girls’ nursery upstairs," she told us. "I found this incredible crewel work floral fabric that I turned into drapes in the nursery. I wanted it to feel colorful, imaginative, a bit whimsical, but also archival—and so I did a hand-painted version of the fabric; then it became the cover of my book Heirloom Rooms that’s coming out in October. This pattern is a statement that works beautifully in any room in the house."
While the designs of the wallpapers are stunning, our favorite feature might just be the peel-and-stick, and we're not alone. Along with comments on her Instagram post gushing about how gorgeous the new line is, fans also responded about their excitement for the days of glued-on wallpaper to be left in the past. "I’m so glad you said peel-and-stick because we have lived in our 120-year-old Victorian home for 29 years and spent the first 5 trying to get all the damaged wallpaper off our plaster walls," one said.
The rolls are $65 and come in quite a few different colors for each pattern. Each roll covers over 34 square feet and samples are available if you'd prefer to test them out before buying.
